Our Story:
From Commercial Roots to Seedstock Standards
Our story began just outside of Bennington, Nebraska, rooted in the daily demands of a commercial cattle operation. In the mid-90s, Dan and Duane recognized a need for higher-performing genetics, leading them to begin investing in purebred seedstock. What started as a focused selection eventually evolved into the D&D Cattle Company you know today.
In the early 2000s, our operation found a new home in Herman, Nebraska. This move was more than just a change in geography; it was the catalyst that took D&D Cattle to new heights, including the establishment of our Red Angus herd. Today, Dan and Marilee, along with their daughters and their families, remain hands-on in every aspect of the business. We don't just sell bulls, we are a family-run program dedicated to the success of the next generation of ranchers.

The cow is the program. Every female in our herd has earned her right to be here by meeting relentless standards for maternal ability, fleshing ability, fertility, and phenotype. We are our own toughest customers, culling with a zero-tolerance policy.
